In the F. R. Newman Arboretum:
The Sculpture Garden: These nine abstract, ten-ton concrete sculptures were created in the 1960s by Cornell undergraduate architecture students. under the guidance of the late Jack Squier, professor of fine arts.
Hyperbolic Paraboloid: This thin, saddle-like reinforced-concrete sculpture was designed and built by an architecture class in the 1960s
The Goldsworthy Holocaust Memorial:Created by famed environmental artist Andy Goldsworthy, the installation at Cornell Botanic Gardens is an extension of the Garden of Stones exhibition at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City. Three of the four granite boulders are hollowed and contain a dwarf chestnut oak (Quercus prinoides).
Lightwave Bench: Designed by two Cornell students, this bench is made up of 264 black locust posts assembled to create a variety of seating alcoves and was inspired by the constant motion of water breaking through rock.
