Allison Skaer

2012 Most recently from Blacksburg, Virginia, Allie earned her BS in Horticulture at Virginia Tech in 2003. During this time, she also completed an internship at the Peggy Lee Hahn Horticulture Gardens . Allie went on to complete graduate research in plant nutrition and to earn an MS in Education from Virginia Tech. She has worked as a horticulturist for Monticello, the Toledo Botanical Garden and for several private estates and as a coordinator for Virginia Cooperative Extension. Through Plantation’s MPS program, Allie hopes to improve her skills as a leader and educator and to focus on ethics and underserved audiences.
