Directions to Cornell Plantations Visitor Center in the Botanical Garden
by public transit (Tompkins Consolidated Active Transit)
The closest bus stop to the Plantations is at the Cornell Dairy Bar. The buses that stop at the Dairy Bar can be found at the TCAT Bus webpage which lists the routes that serve the Cornell Dairy Bar stop.
Once you’ve arrived at the Cornell Dairy Bar stop it is just a short walk to Cornell Plantations’ Visitor Center (please note the walk to the Visitor Center is downhill and not handicap accessible). From the bus stop walk east along Tower Road a short distance to the four way intersection of Tower Road and Judd Falls Road. Turn left onto Judd Falls Road. Pass the parking lot on the left and continue down the hill until you reach the pedestrian entrance to the botanical garden via a set of stairs on the left. The visitor center is located on the South side of the historic building (the Lewis Education Center) located in the Botanical Garden.
To access the Mundy Wildflower Garden, the pedestrian entrance is located directly across the pedestrian entrance to the Botanical Garden off Judd Falls Road.
To access the F.R. Newman Arboretum from the Dairy Bar, travel east on Tower Road a short distance to the four way intersection of Tower Road and Judd Falls Road. Turn left onto Judd Falls Road. Turn right onto the ramp that leads to Plantations Road. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto Plantations Road. Continue on Plantations Road and cross Caldwell Road to enter the arboretum.
