Special-Use Permit

Application Instructions

Upon satisfactory completion of the on-line Special Use Application Form,  Cornell Plantations Natural Areas Program will issue a permit which will be valid for a maximum period of one year.  Permit holders shall provide the Cornell Plantations Natural Areas Program copies of a final report and reprints of publications derived from the research (if any) allowed under this permit.

Additionally, all study areas must be spatially referenced by GPS, and provided to the natural areas program. 

Permit Renewals

Within 30 days of expiration, permit holders may request a renewal for ongoing research.  Permit holders must log on and complete an interim report as part of the renewal.

Failure to submit final or interim reports may result in denial of permit renewal requests and/or denial of additional special-use permits for future years.
