Hardscape

The antique water trough, imported from Pennsylvania, was carved from a single block of stone. The series of steps leading up and over the stone wall is called a stile--structures which allowed farmers to walk between fields without their livestock following behind!

Garden Care

The annuals here are among the thousands grown in our greenhouses each spring and transplanted outside in early June, after the danger of frost has passed. Extensive renovations are planned for this garden; more shrubs will be added, and the garden will be reorganized for greater manageability.
