Volunteers at Cornell Botanic Gardens enjoy being part of a dynamic, growing organization whose primary mission is to educate audiences about the interrelationships among plants, people and the environment. There are many ways to be involved as a volunteer, such as leading tours for adults and youth, working in the gardens and greenhouse, serving as a natural areas steward, or helping out with special events.
(Please note: most of our current volunteer opportunities take place during week day business hours.)

Full training is provided free of charge to all volunteers, and the ongoing experience of working alongside our staff of trained professionals ensures a fertile learning environment. Special enrichment programs are also presented on selected topics, often featuring guest experts.It’s Fun!
Laughter and enjoyment are an important part of our volunteer experience.
