Jonathan Landsman

Class of:
2009

Background

The wild areas and gardens of New York City gave birth to Jonathan's love of plants, which led him to horticulture and teaching positions in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Jenkins Arboretum, and Williams College—his alma mater—before it landed him at Plantations. Through Plantations’ MPS program, Jonathan looks forward to his first chance for full-time, formal study of the full range of horticulture practices that leaders of public gardens need to understand and integrate. He is known by his friends for drifting all over New York City’s sidewalks to scrutinize and photograph buds and twigs. Above all, Jonathan enjoys propagating his knowledge to others.
