Natural Areas Academy: Native Seed Collection
Native seed collection is a fundamental component for successful habitat restoration projects in natural areas, particularly those that require local genetic material or rare and threatened native plant species.
This workshop is part of the Natural Areas Academy,
which offers a series of learning opportunities to receive the knowledge, tools, and skills to help preserve our natural heritage. This hands-on workshop will focus on seed collection and propagation techniques, that can ensure successful propagation while limiting impact from the donor site. This workshop will also provide a stepping stone to working on volunteer group projects and collections for independent Natural Area Restoration Projects.
Location: To be determined.
