Natural Areas Academy: Preserve Monitoring Workshop

$0.00

It is essential that we, as natural area managers, learn as much as possible about the preserves that we care for. Once we have this knowledge, we can take the appropriate action to manage and protect our natural heritage. For Cornell Plantations, with its many preserves throughout Tompkins County and beyond, this is a challenging task.

This workshop is part of the Natural Areas Academy,
which offers a series of learning opportunities to receive the knowledge, tools, and skills to help preserve our natural heritage. In this workshop you will learn what issues to look for and how to report them. Topics will include trail surveying, invasive species, deer damage, and many others.  In addition, we will familiarize you with many of our unique land holdings.

Instructor: Todd Bittner, Director of Cornell Plantations Natural Areas program.
